More than 100 families were injured from doing business with Diagramamotriz. Businessman Joel Marçalo da Silva made purchase and sale contracts for the same houses.
Joel Marçalo da Silva was dismissed by the PJ in November, for committing crimes of qualified fraud.
The businessman, owner of the company Diagramamotriz, scammed more than 100 people, having as practice sell the same house to more than one family.
As revealed by , 114 were injured, in a total of 17 million euros.
At issue are houses in residential complexes that Diagramamotriz built since 2017, in Palmela (Setúbal).
According to JN, when the 48-year-old suspect was arrested, the Setúbal Judicial Police said that, after signing the purchase and sale promissory contracts, the businessman had received amounts from potential buyers that, in some situations, payments for almost the entire property, before the properties are completed“.
The report submitted to the Setúbal Commercial Court states that the company “raised more than 17 million euros in signswith promising buyers, who saw their expectations disappointed”.
The insolvency administrator, the morning newspaper quotes, considers that a recovery plan for the company is unfeasible and that “the closure of the company is irreversible”.
