On Tuesday, January 13, Slovakia received sad news. Slovak writer Jana Benková died at the age of 55. Information about her death was published on its website by the Slovak Literary Center (SLC), which recalls that Benkova she was a journalist, screenwriter and media consultant. She made her literary debut in 1997, and had dozens of titles to her credit, several of which were also published in Czech.
They paid tribute to the deceased writer on the social network Alena Heribanová, about whom Benková wrote a monograph, and also sisters Daniela and Veronika Nízlové. „My dear Janka, I can’t believe that you have gone to eternity. It is painful news, but as Remarque wrote: Heaven does not know the elect,” said the TV star.
“I appreciated your tremendous writing efforts, creativity, love for people, your talent for creating stories, writing novels… My dear Janka, thank you for everything, I hug you and wish you a happy flight to the stars,” Heribanová beckoned to the sky.
Benková wrote lyrics for the singers from the duo Twiins, which people liked. “RIP Janka Benková. I cry so much. Thank you for our beautiful first texts (Anjelik). It’s been 30 years and Janka Benková wrote this text,” recalled Daniela and shared a video of them singing the song Lady from Chocolate.
