Victims receive emergency aid after fire in Crans-Montana


Crans-Montana – The 150 victims of the Crans-Montana fire disaster and their survivors are receiving emergency financial aid from the Swiss canton of Valais. The State Council has announced that 10,000 francs (around 10,700 euros) will be paid to the families of the 40 victims and the 116 survivors who had to be hospitalized after the fire on New Year’s Eve. Around 80 of them remain in hospital with serious injuries.
