A fight involving Fortaleza players and residents of a luxury condominium in Eusébio, in Greater Fortaleza, was recorded by security cameras on the morning of January 1, 2026, after complaints of loud sound. The images show nine people in the confusion, including Argentine athletes José María Herrera, Eros Mancuso and Tomás Pochettino.

One resident said he was attacked when he complained about the noise, while Mancuso said the man broke into the house and hurled insults, including xenophobic insults. Fortaleza reported that it is following the case, which is being investigated by the Civil Police as intentional bodily injury.
