Vienna/Linz – Economics Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer (ÖVP) leaves it open whether ÖVP club chairman Wöginger should remain in office even if he is convicted in the Postenschacher trial. It is the task of the independent court to judge guilt and innocence, which has not yet been done, said the minister on Saturday in the Ö1 lunchtime journal in response to a question. At the same time, he emphasized that the presumption of innocence applies “to all Austrians.”
