This is one of the most delicious dishes of Mexican cuisine. Make fajitas for a party

Get ready for Mexican feast and invite your loved ones for delicious, colorful fajitas with many flavors and additions. Mexican cuisine is world famous for its abundant use of spices. You’ll find it in every piece of this dish. Fajitas are prepared very quickly, and the big advantage is that everyone can use their favorite additions. It tastes best with tortillas or nachos.

To prepare this recipe, you will need:

  • 500 g chicken breast,
  • 1 green pepper,
  • 1 red pepper,
  • 1 yellow pepper,
  • 1 large red onion,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 chili pepper or other hot pepper,
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice,
  • oil or olive oil,
  • 1 lime,
  • 1-1.5 tablespoons of fajitas spice mix (ready-made or homemade).

Fajitas seasoning (1 teaspoon each):

  • dried garlic,
  • ground cumin,
  • dried onion,
  • ground coriander,
  • ground ginger,
  • chili powder,
  • sun,
  • sugar.

To serve:

  • tortillas,
  • nachosy,
  • thick yogurt or cream with chives or other greens.

Mix two tablespoons of oil with fajitas seasoning and lemon juice. Wash the meat, remove the membranes and cut into strips. Pour the marinade over the chicken, mix and set aside for a few minutes to marinate. Meanwhile, wash the peppers, remove the seeds and cut the vegetables into strips. Chop the peeled onion into slices or half-slices. Press the garlic through a press.

Heat the fat in a frying pan and fry the chicken. Fry the meat in batches so that it is nicely browned, making it soft and juicy. Place the fried chicken on a plate. Add the onion to the same pan, fry for a while, add the garlic, mix and fry for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from the pan to a plate. Finally, add the peppers and fry over high heat. When the vegetables are ready, add the previously prepared onion and chicken. Mix everything and transfer the dish to a platter or serve straight from the pan. Garnish with lime wedges and chopped chives.

Next to the fajitas dish, place a plate with tortillas, nachos and yogurt sauce. You can also set your own add-ons. Eat fajitas with a fork or place them in the center of a tortilla and roll them up. The dish tastes best warm.
