"Everything destroyed": Marcelo went to Alcácer do Sal to listen to the mayor's outbursts

During the visit, the mayor, Clarisse Campos, lamented the destruction of businesses and homes. The mayor highlighted the prevention efforts undertaken, but acknowledged the impossibility of currently distinguishing the river from the rest of the flooded area.

During this Thursday morning, the President of the Republic saw the and listened to the Mayor’s comments.

There, in Alcácer do Sal, the mayor vents:

“The businesses of a lifetime, the houses, the homes with everything destroyed. I can handle everything, but it makes me very confused when people lose things.”

It was night and early morning work, despite the prevention that the Alcácer do Sal council claims to have taken. “We can’t distinguish the river from anything. We have a river all the way to the bottom”, laments Clarisse Campos.

Thus, on a submerged morning that served the president of the republic to confirm, consider and then explain to the population and authorities what is happening and what should be done next.
