The GNR identified, in less than 24 hours, the driver filmed driving the wrong way on the A1, at the Aveiro-Sul exit, after a video of the episode went viral on social media.
The National Traffic Unit explained that the identification was made through technical analysis and operational means, highlighting that the responsibility of drivers does not end at the moment of the infraction. The case will be reported to the Institute of Mobility and Transport, as this type of conduct may raise doubts about the mental fitness to drive.
The video shows the woman reversing gears after being warned by another driver, coming close to colliding with a truck.
