Senator Fabiano Contarato (PT-ES), president of the CPI on Organized Crime, presented requests to break the banking, tax, telephone and telematic secrecy of the manager Reag, identified as linked to Banco Master, in addition to the secrecy of its founder, João Carlos Mansur.

Contarato also asked for Mansur to be summoned to testify and asked the Central Bank to send the full administrative process that resulted in the institution’s extrajudicial liquidation. The intention is to discuss the requests at the next CPI meeting, scheduled for February 24th.

The senator cited investigations by the Federal Police, such as operations Carbono Oculto and Compliance Zero, which investigate billion-dollar fraud and possible connections with the PCC. According to him, the CPI has a constitutional duty to deepen the analysis given the seriousness of the facts.

Contarato also stated that applications related to people linked to STF ministers will also be considered. “No one will be shielded,” he declared, defending independence in investigations.
