The diversity of amphibians at the Tyrolean Inn is declining drastically

In the past, an evening walk in the Tyrolean Inn Valley was often enough to recognize from the song of frogs that amphibious life was thriving between the riparian forest and the pond. Today, many parts of the middle Inn Valley seem remarkably quiet. A new, comprehensive survey as part of the species protection project INNsieme connect now paints a sobering picture of the condition of the amphibians along the Inn, as WWF Austria reports.
