Authorities release description of suspect in Nancy Guthrie case

Authorities released a description of the person seen in the images and doorbell camera video of Nancy Guthrie, which were recovered by the FBI, and also increased the reward for information to up to $100,000.

The person in the video is described as male, approximately 1.75 to 1.78 m tall and of medium build. The backpack he was using in the video is identified as a black 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.

In addition to helping potential witnesses with recalling events, a close source said additional details about the case are being released to reduce tips received from across the country that investigators believe have no connection to the case.

In the category of tips likely unrelated to the case, the source mentioned that investigators were contacted by some mediums, mystics and psychics trying to help.

The source emphasized that investigators are still appealing to the public to contact authorities about any case — no matter how insignificant the tipster believes the tip to be.
