Eighteen-year-old Kadyrov was released from Moscow’s Botkin Hospital, where he was flown from Chechnya almost three weeks ago. One person was reportedly killed and several others injured in a car accident on January 16 in Grozny. Adam Kadyrov had his spleen removed and his jaw broken.
According to Novaya Gazeta Europe sources, he is on a diet. The latest footage, posted on his father’s Telegram channel on Tuesday, shows that three weeks on a hospital diet also led to rapid weight loss. According to sources, the most serious consequence of the accident is damage to the optic nerve. “It remains unclear what the consequences are. There is a risk that he will go blind in one eye,” they stated.
Three men who were traveling with him disappeared from public view. Bislan Kaimov and Apti Iraschanov suffered serious head and spine injuries and were taken to Moscow with Kadyrov. Apti is the nephew of Chechen Interior Minister Aslan Iraschanov and is believed to have been driving at the time of the accident.
In recent days, Ramzan Kadyrov tried to downplay the accident and on Monday dismissed reports about it as “false”. Although the accident caused the death of the driver of the other car, it has not been officially reported to the police and is unlikely to be investigated.
