On the legendary Stelvio track in Bormio, the 25-year-old athlete dominated the race from start to finish, leading a podium completed by Swiss Marco Odermatt (58 hundredths of a second behind), who took silver, and Loïc Meillard (1.17 seconds behind), who took bronze.

Son of a Norwegian father and a Brazilian mother, Lucas, 25, was born in Oslo and is Brazil’s biggest bet in the Winter Olympics. The skier leads the world slalom rankings.
Alpine ski athlete, withdrew from competing for Norway in 2023where he was successful in the slalom and giant slalom events, to defend his mother’s country the following year.
“It’s a chance to bring 200 million people to the sport. There will always be a new Norwegian skier. But how many people have heard of someone skiing the World Cup for Brazil? Nobody, right? This chance for me was very important”, he said at the time he joined the Brazilian team.
