A trip to the mountains is supposed to be a perfect relaxation for many people. Fresh air, beautiful views and an escape from everyday stress. But it only takes a moment of inattention, bad footing or underestimation of the terrain, and a pleasant hike can turn into a dramatic battle for health in a second.
Mountains do not forgive mistakes. Injuries such as a sprained ankle, a broken leg or an unpleasant fall can end not only in great pain, but also in the intervention of the mountain service and transport to the hospital. And that’s when many people realize that the romantic idea of a trip can very quickly turn into a nightmare.
Influencer Naty Kerny, whose real name is Natália Kornerová, has had such an unpleasant experience. Her partner, influencer Peter Altof, better known by the nickname Exploited, added a photo of his partner on a social network in a transport stretcher used by the mountain rescue service. “Naty, when she hasn’t been the center of attention for a long time,” he joked at her.
The name SKED stretcher is most often used for this stretcher. The rescuers place the injured person in them and then fix him firmly with the help of straps so that he does not move during transport. Stretchers enable pulling on snow or rocks, lowering or pulling up with a rope in steep terrain and safe transport even in places where classic stretchers cannot be used.
