Lula attends the carnival in Salvador on Saturday and follows the parade in Rio on Sunday

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva attended the Salvador carnival this Saturday, in the state government’s box.

The governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT), published a video on social media that shows the moment an electric trio stops in front of the place. At one point, the trio sings the chorus “olê, olê, olê, olá, Lula, Lula”, which refers to the jingle “Lula lá”, adopted by Lula in the first presidential campaign he ran in 1989.

Then, the singers shout “no amnesty”, remembering last year’s demonstrations against the dosimetry bill.

Opportunity with security!

Lula followed the Osmar circuit, in Campo Grande, the most traditional of the Bahian carnival.

On Sunday, the 15th, he will follow the parade of the Acadêmicos de Niterói samba school, in Rio. The group’s samba-plot pays homage to the president.
