Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro criticized this Sunday (15) the representation of former president Jair Bolsonaro in the Acadêmicos de Niterói parade, at Rio de Janeiro Carnival.
During the presentation, an actor appeared dressed as a clown and then behind bars, in an obvious reference to the former president, who is serving a sentence for a coup d’état at the Papudinha prison.
The school was the first to parade on Marquês de Sapucaí and took to the avenue a plot that celebrated the trajectory of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), highlighting his origins as a worker and notable episodes of recent politics. The parade also included satire on political opponents.

In a post on social media, Michelle reacted to the allegory. “Just to record a historical fact: the person who was arrested for corruption was Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. This is a judicial record, not an opinion”, he wrote.
Lula watched the parade from a box at Rio City Hall, alongside Mayor Eduardo Paes and government ministers. The first lady, Rosângela Lula da Silva, known as Janja, was present at Sapucaí, but decided not to participate in the tribute to “avoid persecution”.
