The SNS came up with a bold proposal: Members of the Slovak Republic want to reduce long-service pensions to a minimum!

Coalition The SNS will propose that a member of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic who receives a long-service pension may receive this pension at most in the amount of the minimum pension during the performance of the mandate. TASR was informed about this by the director of the office of the president of the SNS, Zuzana Škopcová.

“We are convinced that this proposal will find support across the political spectrum and that those who are directly affected by it – whether from the opposition or from the coalition – will vote for it,” stated Škopcová in the opinion of the SNS.

In this proposal, nationalists refer to the provisions of the law, which prohibit mayors, mayors and chairmen of self-governing regions from receiving more than the minimum wage as a result of this position, as long as they become members of the National Assembly of the Slovak Republic. “Given the amount of salaries of deputies, it is unimaginable that long-service pensions in the thousands of euros would be paid at the same time, and that a different regime would be applied to mayors and mayors at the same time,” concluded Škopcová.
