The Guadalajara International Airport reports that it operates normally
The Pacific Airport Group (GAP) has reported that operations at the Guadalajara International Airport continue “normally” without any disruptions or flight cancellations. In a statement published in the midst of the blockades and fires in various parts of the capital, the GAP has tried to reassure the population, given videos and information that began to circulate on social networks and that indicated that the air terminal had been taken over by members of a criminal group.
“The air terminal is under protection of the National Guard (GN) and the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) as part of the permanent coordination actions with federal authorities. It is important to specify that no incidents have been recorded inside the facilities and there is no risk for passengers, collaborators or visitors.”
The Security Cabinet of the Federal Government has also reported that passengers at the airport “are taking their flights as scheduled and no relevant event has been recorded at the facilities.”
