Milan – At the end of the XXV. Winter Games in Italy won gold in the men’s Olympic ice hockey tournament. In a dramatic final in Milan, the team led by captain Auston Matthews defeated Canada 2:1 (1:0,0:1,0:0;1:0) after extra time on Sunday. It is the third Olympic ice hockey victory for the Americans. The last time the US men achieved this was exactly 46 years ago at the “Miracle on Ice” in Lake Placid. Bronze went to Finland on Saturday.
