Trump admits "friendly takeover" of Cuba. There are secret talks underway

With Cuban ancestry, it is Marco Rubio who is leading the entire process

Having neutralized Nicolás Maduro’s Venezuela, the United States continues with what some have called the “Donroe” doctrine very present, in an allusion to the North American president’s intentions to dominate the entire continent.

In the most recent comment in this same vein, Donald Trump suggested that the United States could carry out a “friendly takeover” of Cuba, without clarifying what exactly that means.

The matter is, for now, being handled by one of the most interested, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is of Cuban origin and is dealing with the situation at a “very high level”.

“The Cuban government is talking to us and they are in big trouble,” said Donald Trump.

“They don’t have money. They don’t have anything at the moment, but they are talking to us, maybe there will be a friendly takeover of Cuba”, he reiterated, remembering that Cuba has been talked about since he himself was a child.

In fact, Cuba will be one of the oldest enemies of the United States, particularly at an ideological level, with the peak of this rivalry being reached during the 1962 missile crisis.

Now, Donald Trump looks ahead, admitting that he sees entry into Cuba as possible, although not in the style of Venezuela, where US special forces entered to capture the leader, Nicolás Maduro.

According to Axios, Marco Rubio has been holding secret conversations with the grandson of former Cuban leader Raúl Castro, in an attempt to do something similar to what happened in relation to Delcy Rodríguez, who was interacting with the United States before the operation in Caracas.
