The list of the most booked restaurants at The Fork last year reveals the preferences of the Portuguese when it comes to booking a table and confirms Lisbon’s importance as the country’s main gastronomic destination. The platform published the 50 spaces with the highest number of reservations in Portugal and the capital clearly stands out. For those who want to avoid eternal indecision in WhatsApp groups, this selection can serve as a practical and updated guide.
Lisbon leads reserves in Portugal
Of the 50 most booked restaurants on the TheFork platform in 2025, the majority are located in Lisbon, according to the Lisboa Secreta website. If we expand the analysis to Greater São Paulo, the domain becomes even more expressive, with 42 spaces concentrated in this area. At the top of the table appears Cervejaria Ramiro, a Lisbon seafood restaurant founded in the 1950s, considered by the same source as “iconic”.
The other choices are distributed across Greater Porto, Aveiro and Coimbra, demonstrating that, despite the strong concentration in the capital, there is also significant demand in other regions of the country.
According to the data released, the list reflects a growing appreciation of authenticity and gastronomic identity. Among the most reserved spaces are classics of Portuguese cuisine and restaurants that reinterpret tradition with contemporary proposals.
The three most booked restaurants
At the top of the table appears Cervejaria Ramiro. Founded in the 1950s, this seafood restaurant is one of the best-known names in the capital and it is common to see queues at the door, on Avenida Almirante dos Reis, says the same source. In second place comes Garden Balthazar Café, in Porto, a relaxed space that stands out for its brunch options and informal atmosphere that attracts both locals and tourists.
Closing the podium is Contrabando Mexican Food, in Almada, known for its Mexican cuisine and a differentiated offer on the south bank of the Tagus.
This list of the most booked restaurants confirms that, in 2025, the Portuguese continue to favor gastronomic experiences marked by quality, tradition and innovation, with Lisbon clearly taking the central role in reservation preferences.
