The attack on Iran was the largest operation in the history of the Israeli air force: 200 fighters were in action

  • Two hundred Israeli fighter jets undertook the largest air operation in Israel’s history.
  • The attack targeted Iran’s ballistic missile launchers and air defenses.
  • The fighters almost simultaneously dropped hundreds of pieces of ammunition on 500 military targets.
  • The operation was planned for a long time.

The Israeli army reported on Saturday evening that the attack 200 fighters participated in Iran and it was the largest operation of the Israeli Air Force in its history. TASR informs about it according to the AFP agency and the Times of Israel (TOI) portal.

According to the army, the extensive strikes were aimed at ballistic missile launchers and air defense systems. Fighters in the morning almost simultaneously dropped hundreds of munitions on approximately 500 Iranian military targets in western and central Iran.

“This is the largest strike in the history of the Israeli Air Force, carried out after careful planning with high-quality intelligence, synchronizing hundreds of aircraft at the same time,” the army said in a statement. The Israeli military says the strikes on Iran’s air defense systems “made it possible to extend air superiority over Iranian skies and deal a serious blow to the offensive capabilities of the Iranian regime.”

According to the Israeli military, the Air Force continues to operate in Iran. “Israeli armed forces will continue operations to significantly degrade all aspects of the Iranian regime,” stated in the statement. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should soon comment on the current situation in connection with Iran.
