The headscarf belongs in the museum

Austria is a secular country. State and church are strictly separated. Thus, the state does not interfere in religious matters. Because religion is a private matter and protected by the right to religious freedom. Now the Austrian Parliament has passed a law that is only aimed at Muslim families with their school-age daughters. They should only be allowed to wear a headscarf when they are 14 years old, contrary to the more than 1,400-year-old Islamic tradition that requires the body to be completely covered, including the hair, at the onset of puberty.
