The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting this Saturday, the 28th, to discuss the attacks on Iran carried out by the United States and Israel during the night. The information was confirmed by The New York Times.
The meeting is scheduled for 6pm, Brasília time. The meeting was a request from France, Bahrain and Iran itself.
This Saturday’s attack occurred after several threats from Donald Trump. The US president says he sees the action as an opportunity to change the regime in Tehran.

It is the second time in less than a year that the US military has attacked Iran. Last June, American forces bombed three nuclear facilities in the country. This time, American officials said they expected a much more extensive attack.
Iran responded by firing a series of missiles and drones at Israel, as well as launching attacks against American military bases in the region, including Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates, and the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
The Brazilian government released a statement condemning the attacks and defending negotiation between the parties involved in the conflict. In the note, Itamaraty asks those involved to respect international law and “exercise maximum restraint, in order to avoid the escalation of hostilities and to ensure the protection of civilians and civil infrastructure”.
