The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) called for the interruption of offensive military actions in the Middle East and stated that the attacks represent “a serious threat to international peace and security, with potential wide-ranging humanitarian and economic impacts”.
In a press release, released on Saturday night, the 28th, Itamaraty reinforced its concern about the escalation of “hostilities” in the Gulf region.
“By calling for the interruption of offensive military actions, Brazil urges all parties to respect International Law and condemns any measures that violate the sovereignty of third States or that may escalate the conflict, such as retaliatory actions and attacks against civilian areas”, says the publication.
