Deracre structures BIM implementation and trains teams for large federal works

Deracre estrutura implantação do BIM e capacita equipe para grandes obras federais

through the Department of Highways, Waterway and Airport Infrastructure, began the structured implementation of the BIM methodology, Construction Information Modeling, with a direct focus on training technical staff. It is the first management of the body that officially organizes the adoption of the system with internal training for engineers, architects, technicians and planning teams.

The presentation of the system took place this Monday, 2nd, in a technical meeting at the headquarters of , with the presence of president Sula Ximenes and the director of Planning and Expansion, Júlio Martins. At the meeting, the training schedule, project adaptation stages and contracts that will now be drawn up within the methodology were presented.

The implementation occurs due to the increase in the number of works financed with federal resources in the state. The use of BIM became progressively required by the Union, in accordance with Decree No. 10,306/2020 and Decree No. 11,888/2024. At the state level, the measure complies with Decree No. 11,363/2023, which regulates the application of Law No. 14,133/2021 in Acre.

For president Sula Ximenes, the priority is to prepare the team for the new reality of contracts. “It’s not just acquiring a system. It’s training those who prepare projects, those who create budgets and those who supervise work. We are organizing the house to keep up with the volume of federal contracts that the state has been receiving”, he stated.

The Director of Planning and Expansion, Júlio Martins, explained that the change alters the work routine of the technical teams. “The project is no longer just a technical drawing and starts to concentrate quantitative information, deadlines and compatibility between disciplines. This reduces adjustments during execution”, he highlighted.

Technical staff training

The adopted system brings together integrated programs that allow projects to be developed in a digital environment with technical data consolidated in a single model. The training will be carried out with Deracre’s own employees, strengthening the internal development of projects and monitoring of contracts.

All investments for implementation and training are being paid for with the State government’s own resources. The measure follows the growth of structural works financed by the Union and prepares the body to meet the technical requirements set out in federal legislation.
