Iranian media reported this Monday of the downing of a United States F-15 fighter that intended to attack Iranian territory and that fell in Kuwait, while that country announced that several American aircraft had crashed this Monday, but that their crew survived.
“An F-15 fighter of the United States aggressor army, which was trying to, was hit and shot down by air defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” announced the Tasnim agency, linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The media indicated that the remains of the aircraft fell in Kuwait, due to its proximity to that territory.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, said in a statement that several US fighters crashed this Monday, but that its crew survived and were taken to the hospital.
The soldier added that the competent authorities are investigating the causes of the accident, and urged the public and the media to obtain information from official sources.
The Iranian authorities have not yet commented on the matter; However, the Revolutionary Guard announced this morning a new wave of attacks against government and military targets in various parts of Israel, which, together with the United States, launched a war against the Persian country on Saturday.
During last June’s 12-day war in Iran, Iranian state television also reported the downing of Israeli fighter jets, a claim it later retracted.
