Aryna Sabalenka will marry a Brazilian businessman; ‘know who’

The number 1 tennis player in the world ranking, Aryna Sabalenka announced that she is engaged to Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis. The couple has been in a relationship for around two years. The request was shared by the athlete herself on social media.

By publishing the special moment, she wrote a message celebrating the union and projecting the future alongside the businessman: “You and me, forever”, as well as a ring emoji and a heart emoji.

A news quickly received congratulations from other tennis playersincluding Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic and Amanda Anisimova, a possible opponent for Sabalenka in the quarterfinals of the next Indian Wells Open.

At the beginning of the season, the Belarusian had already made a public joke involving her boyfriend. During the WTA title ceremony in Brisbane in January, she thanked Frangulis for his support and, in a relaxed tone, said that she hoped to soon be able to call him “another way”, indicating that she was awaiting the request.

Who is Georgios Frangulis?

Frangulis is founder of OakBerryan international chain specializing in açaí, and is also part of the ownership group of Le Mans, a French football club. In addition to his business activities, he has had experience in motorsport, including participation in the Porsche GT3 category.

Fiancee, Sabalenka returns to the circuit this week to compete in the Indian Wells Open, in the United States. The tournament marks their first participation since the Australian Open campaign, where they ended up eliminated before winning the title.

The competition in California is one of the most prestigious on the calendar outside of the Grand Slams and brings together the main players on the circuit.
