Corinthians announce the signing of Jesse Lingard, ex-Manchester United

Jesse Lingard is Corinthians’ new reinforcement. The club announced the signing of the 33-year-old English midfielder this Friday (6).

The player arrives at Timão with a contract valid until the end of 2026, with the possibility of automatic renewal until the end of 2027 if the goals established in the document are met.

Before it was even announced, Lingard went to the field for the first time at CT Joaquim Grava last Thursday (5). Corinthians’ reinforcement for the remainder of the season, the 33-year-old athlete has been gradually integrated into the coaching staff.

Lingard trained on a separate field from his teammates, but has already had contact with the ball.

Last Wednesday (4), the English player only carried out activities inside the CT. Like Zakaria Labyad, Lingard will undergo a physical reconditioning process, as he has not played since mid-December.

Having spent a long time at Manchester United, Lingard accumulated 78 goals and 39 assists in 388 games throughout his career, taking into account only clubs.
