Governor claimed to be a “third way” to polarization; pre-candidate participates in party event this Friday
The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, (PSDB), announced this Friday (March 6, 2026) his pre-candidacy for the Presidency. On his social media profile, the pre-candidate with several proposals and claimed to be a “third way”.
“Nothing in modern economic history compares to the impact that we are about to experience, very soon. Brazil, however, remains divided, fragmented, excessively focused on ideological and parochial disputes that produce no solution”wrote Leite.
Between the points of “manifesto to Brazil”the pre-candidate states that governability is a “future condition”that fiscal responsibility must be “commitment to the most vulnerable” and that “productivity is growth now and long-term social justice”.
“It is with this conviction, with faith and independence, that I make my name available to the country”he concluded.
In addition to Leite, the PSD (Social Democratic Party) of there are 2 other pre-candidates for the Presidency: the governor of Paraná, and the governor of Goiás, . The party still internally who will be the candidate for the Planalto.
The Foundation from the PSD, will hold this Friday (6.mar.2026), in São Paulo (SP), the meeting “PSD proposals: model for Brazil”. The party’s 3 pre-candidates for President will participate. The event will be mediated by the Editorial Director of Poder360, and broadcast live on of the digital newspaper on YouTube, from 7pm.
