The coach, who will join União Brasil this Friday (6), says he intends to work for his new party. After leaving PRTB, he has already declared his personal support for the senator.
“I will fight for my personal support to also be that of the party”, he tells the Panel. The act of affiliation should bring together politicians from different right-wing and center parties in a concert hall in the south of São Paulo.
Flávio should send a video, as he is still recovering from eye surgery. Marçal is hopeful that he will attend, despite the friction between them in the 2024 campaign, when the coach almost took away the victory from Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB).
Marçal says he spoke to Tarcísio on the phone about three months ago and that they got things right. “I like Tarcísio, I hope he is re-elected, I will support him. That moment [2024] It was a big challenge for him,” he says.
His new party expects Marçal to run for senator or federal deputy in October. He himself says he hasn’t made up his mind yet.
“I’m getting back into this business [eleição]but I still don’t know which hole. We don’t hit the hammer. If I don’t want to apply and help as a member, that’s no problem either”, he says.
To be able to apply, he has to reverse one of the “cutting championships” on a social network he created. “I studied law, there’s no basis for that. We’re going to reverse it,” he says.
Third placed in the municipal election, Marçal says that since then he has dedicated himself to his business life, and that he was reluctant to return to electoral politics. What motivated him, he says, is the desire to remove the PT from power.
“My heart burns for this. It’s a party that’s very harmful to the country, it’s a wasteful party, it’s the party of idle talk. Brazil is broken, I’ve never seen so many companies closing, I’ve never seen so many people leaving the country.”
