The Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, said, in an exclusive interview with CNN Moneythat the federal government intends to increasingly expand the program MCMV (My Home, My Life)with an increase in the number of families benefiting.
According to the minister, “this is a very strong program, which has made great progress, with 52% of new properties in Brazil linked to Minha Casa, Minha Vida.”
“We want to expand it to more and more people”, added Jader Filho.
According to Jader, the main strategy to expand the reach of the MCMV is by allowing people with higher incomes to also enter the real estate subsidy system.
“We have increased several MCMV income levels to bring more and more families from the country. Now, we are waiting for the approval of these changes so that the program can expand”, said the minister, referring to the need to validate the changes by the , as the program has interest subsidized by the fund.
Regarding the MCMV goals, Jader Filho stated that the government will set a goal for new properties linked to the program in . According to him, this is the moment with the highest amount of real estate contracts with MCMV in history.
