The vice-mayor of Rio Branco, Alysson Bestene, stated this Friday (6) that Progressistas has not yet been officially informed about the event that will announce the party’s alliance with União Brasil and the Liberal Party (PL). The statement was made during the delivery of the first phase of works on the new Benjamin Constant Promenade, in the center of the capital.

The alliance between the acronyms will be formalized next Monday (9), at 4 pm, at Progressistas headquarters. The invitation was announced by the party itself. The pre-candidacies of governor Gladson Camelí and senator Marcio Bittar for the Senate should also be made official at the event.

Despite the articulation led by Progressistas around the pre-candidacy of vice-governor Mailza Assis for the government of Acre, Alysson has signaled that she intends to follow another political path.

The vice-mayor has already declared that he is against the government, a position that goes against the party’s own strategy.

This week, Bocalom announced that he will leave the PL after stating that he did not have support from the party to run for state government.

During the interview, Alysson said that she is awaiting party definitions, but reiterated that she intends to accompany the mayor in the dispute.

“Look, I haven’t been notified yet by Progressistas, but my logic is to follow Mayor Tião Bocalom, as I have expressed on this journey. We are also waiting for this whole process, definition of parties, and I hope that the definitions already take place, because we will be on this journey alongside Mayor Tião Bocalom”, he declared.
