Israel’s military said its fighter jets completed a wave of strikes on Iranian military facilities, missile launchers and other targets in Tehran and central Iran on Saturday. Explosions were heard in several parts of Tehran, the television reported, without specifying the location of the attacks. “More than 80 Israeli Air Force fighter jets … completed another wave of attacks targeting infrastructure belonging to the Iranian terrorist regime,” the army said in a statement.
In one of the largest raids announced by Israel since the start of the regional war on February 28 fighter jets hit the military academy of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, which “was used as an emergency means”.
The Israeli military claims that the device was used for military operations, making it a “legitimate military target”. Other targets included an underground command center, missile storage and launch sites, “to reduce the range of fire directed at the territory of the State of Israel”.
When Israel joined the United States in a massive wave of attacks on Iran at the start of the war, the Israeli military said it 200 fighters took part in the raids, which she called the largest number in the history of aviation.
