A senior Iranian official told CNN that Iran is seeking new targets to attack in response to the president’s warning Donald Trump that Iran “will be hit very hard” this Saturday (7).
Shortly after Trump said the US was considering new targets for “complete destruction and certain death” in Iran, the official said the US had clearly “threatened to expand the war against the Iranian people and kill them directly.”
“For this reason, the Islamic Republic announces that it will seriously examine American regions, forces and affiliates that have not yet been included in the target list of the Iranian armed forces and will take action against them in case of reckless action by the enemy,” the official said.
The official did not provide further details or indicate when attacks on the expanded target list might begin.
