São Paulo councilor Luna Zaratini () was called by the president to run for the position of federal deputy in this year’s elections.
When making the request, Lula expressed his desire to rejuvenate the party. At 31 years old and very active on social media, the former leader of the municipal bench had almost 101 thousand votes in 2024. She was notable for defending the government in clashes with right-wing parliamentarians with a media profile in the House.
The invitation left the councilor excited. Luna also plans to run for Mayor in 2028.
The councilor is expected to meet with the president at the beginning of next week, in Brasília.
