The airport in Dubai partially resumes operations after the morning shutdown

After the morning’s dramatic incident, in which air defense neutralized a flying object over the city, the Dubai authorities announced a partial resumption of operations on Saturday afternoon. Both the main international airport and Al Maktoum Airport are operating flights again, but the situation remains highly volatile.

Dubai Airport announced on Saturday that it is partially resuming services shortly after suspending operations. TARS writes about it according to AFP.

  • Dubai Airport suspended operations on Saturday due to the intercepted flying object.
  • Shortly after the full suspension, the airport announced a partial resumption of its operations.
  • Passengers should only go to the airport with a flight confirmation.

To the airport only with a confirmation

“We have partially resumed operations from today, March 7, with some flights operating from DXB and DWC,” the airport said, referring to both the main Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.

“Please do not travel to the airport unless your airline has contacted you to confirm your flight as flight schedules are constantly changing,” it informed passengers.

Earlier on Saturday, Dubai Airport said it had suspended operations after air defenses intercepted a flying object over the area during attacks from Iran.
