Dozens of volunteers came together last weekend to plant thousands of pine trees in Serra do Alvão. It was another reforestation action to return Vila Real to the green lung that was lost in last summer’s fire.
The same area had already been reforested two years ago, but the summer fire in Vila Cova took everything forward and painted the Serra do Alvão black. Now the scene begins to gain color again with the work of these volunteers. Families, friends, associations, all together to return the forest to Vila Real.
