The names change, but the hatred is the same: portrait of neo-Nazis in Portugal

Podcast

Among the neo-Nazis who threaten Portuguese society are military and police officers. In the most recent cases of far-right violence, some of those convicted of involvement in homicides in the late 80s and early 90s were there. The name that neo-Nazis give to the structures they create is changing, what does not change is the hatred they feel for society. Because today is Sunday, we opened the Expresso magazine again and discovered the infamous portrait of neo-Nazis in Portugal. Paulo Baldaia talks to Hugo Franco, the Expresso journalist who has been reporting on what is happening in Portugal in terms of security for many years

At a time when the far right is growing politically across Europe, these neo-Nazi groups are also gaining more members and strengthening international connections. Useful for carrying out actions like the one recently seen in southern Spain.

In this daily podcast, Paulo Baldaia talks to journalists from the Expresso newsroom, international correspondents and commentators. From Monday to Friday, analysis of the news that survives the froth of the days. Listen to other episodes here:
