On Sunday, March 8 at 5:55 p.m continues on the Unit new STVR original show Chutí story, which combines knowledge with taste experience. She is accompanied by a pair of presenters Martina “Maca” Zábranská a Tibor Ferenčík. Welcome to Carnunta, which in the 2nd century grew from a military camp to the capital of the Upper Pannonia province and a key point on the Danube frontier of the Roman Empire.
Carnuntum was primarily a city of commerce, where patricians enjoyed life, artisans and merchants formed an honest middle class, and slaves stood at the very end. Here the Romans commanded legions, traded, built baths, roads, and led a completely normal city life. But they were not only interested in peace on the border, but also wine and good food. Today, Maca and Tibor will be amazed to discover how advanced the Roman culture was, that in addition to the heated floor, the Romans also heated the walls. Together we will taste Roman cheesecake with bay leaves. Tibor discovers that undiluted wine was only drunk by drunkards, and Maca is dumbfounded when she recognizes her vegetarian ancestors.
This time, Tibor finds himself in the role of a regular Roman soldier and experiences what it was like to move around in heavy and noisy armor. Guide Andrej Klemensich explains to him that if he were to march, he would have to carry around 45 kilograms. But he won’t get any more pants. See in the preview how Tibor felt in this disguise and find out why every proper Roman had shaved legs in the premiere episode of the History of Flavors already on Sunday at 5:55 p.m. on Jednotka.
