One of the best choices for a Christmas dessert is a classic pound cake. To which is associated with home warmth, tradition and the smell of baked goods, floating throughout the house. Additionally, they can be prepared with simple ingredients that we usually already have in the kitchen.

Another great advantage of this type of cakes is that they do not require specialized equipment. All you need is a bowl, a spoon and a baking tin to create a dessert that will delight your family and guests. Thanks to this preparing a dessert does not become another time-consuming challenge.

These types of baked goods have another advantage. Namely, they come out extremely moist and fluffy, so you can prepare them even a day in advance. If we want to make this delicious dessert, we must first prepare it ingredients for babka. Other list:

  • 2 cups of wheat flour,
  • 4 eggs,
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • 1 cup of sugar,
  • 3/4 cup of milk,
  • juice of half a lemon,
  • zest of half a lemon,

Preparing it is very simple – Mix the powdered sugar with the milk with a spoon until there are no lumps. Finally, after pouring the cake, sprinkle the icing with lemon peel.
