Countries that expel US and Israeli ambassadors will be able to sail through Hormuz

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that ‌any Arab or European country that expels ‌Israeli and US ambassadors from its territory will have full authority and freedom ‌to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian state media reported on Monday.

The crisis in the Middle East has disrupted shipping and energy exports through the vital Strait of Hormuz, which carries about a fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies.

Hundreds of ships remain anchored on both sides of the strategic waterway, while oil and shipping markets remain alert to any sign that travel could resume along the corridor.
