Leite has said that it is not enough to remove the PT from power, if it is to repeat the dose with Bolsonaro’s representative. “Bolsonaro’s great legacy was to bring Lula back. There is no point in simply wanting to remove the PT to install a bad manager. It was clear with Bolsonaro, it was a government that did not deliver,” said Leite.
Caiado, in turn, insists that the country is experiencing a moral crisis as long as the PT remains in power. “In the PT’s five terms, organized crime and corruption have grown,” stated Caiado.
Unlike Leite, Caiado and Ratinho participated, in recent months, in the demonstrations in favor of the former president and those arrested on January 8, 2023.
“Instead of discussing ideology, I discuss values. I am in favor of freedom of the press, of expression. I defend economic freedom, leadership of life. Brazil has been losing a lot of time for more than decades, because this ideological fight did not start now”, stated Ratinho.
This Monday, Kassab stated that the PSD executive should announce its candidate by March 31st. Previously, Kassab had planned to drop the hammer on April 15. However, Leite himself has already expressed his desire to anticipate the result.
