Luís Castro highlights Grêmio’s main concern against Chapecoense

Coach Luís Castro pointed out Grêmio’s main concern is to face Chapecoense next Monday (16), at 8pm (Brasília time), in the sixth round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship.

The Portuguese commander held a press conference after the

“Our main concern until the next game in Chapecó is clearly recovering the players physically, to know who can go to the game and those who can stay out. We know that Arthur can’t”, he stated.

Arthur was out, and will continue to be out in March, due to a muscle injury suffered last Sunday (8), at . Other players were preserved against RB Bragantino, such as Amuzu, Tetê and Willian.

“A player like Arthur is always missed. He finds spaces. He really is a player of great quality”, said Luís Castro.

The Grêmio coach also pointed out the positive result of the stumble against Massa Bruta, the first match in which Imortal did not win at home in the Brasileirão.

“The positive thing that came out of the game was what I told the players. There was great unity for total commitment on the field. They gave themselves completely to the game. Although not in the best way, because due to fatigue we lost the ability to make good decisions, as happened in the second half”, he stated.

Then, Luís Castro commented on Massa Bruta’s offensive ability against Tricolor, even away from home.

“The opponent was always imposing difficulties on us, and we were unable to respond to these difficulties. Knowing how to suffer is something that the team needs to know at certain times of the season”, he began.

“We had difficulties from the middle of the second half onwards. We were unable to kill the game before, as we should have done. We always left the game 1-0 throughout part of the match, which meant that the opponent was on top to seek a draw”, he added.

With the result, Grêmio was in ninth place on the national competition leaderboard, with seven points gained. Tricolor’s next match will be against , on Monday (16), at 8pm (Brasília time), at Arena Condá, in Chapecó (SC).
