The former president was taken by ambulance to DF Star Hospital, in Brasília; had chills and episodes of vomiting
Police officers escorting the former president (PL) used a cloth to cover him to the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, this Friday (March 13, 2026). The measure was adopted to prevent the former president from being photographed or filmed upon entering the health unit.

Doctor Cláudio Birolini informed the Poder360 who is leaving São Paulo for Brasília to evaluate the former president. He stated that he has already requested tests to analyze Bolsonaro’s clinical condition. “I’m leaving SP at 12:00. I’ve already ordered the exams to see you there”, these.
In no X, the senator and pre-candidate for President (PL-RJ) said that Bolsonaro “woke up with chills and vomited a lot”. The senator also stated that the father but did not give details about the clinical condition. “I ask for prayers that it is nothing serious,” he wrote.
Birolini informed the Poder360 that Bolsonaro “he had a fever and a drop in oxygen in his blood“. “Let’s investigate,” concluded.

Bolsonaro is imprisoned in the 19th Military Police Battalion of the Federal District, known as Papudinha.
The former president faces a series of health problems related to the knife attack suffered during the 2018 presidential campaign. At the end of 2025, he was hospitalized to undergo surgery to correct a bilateral inguinal hernia and was discharged on January 1st.
The former councilor (PL) also shared the episode on social media. He said he received information that his father was being taken to the hospital and asked for support from allies.
“This persecution seems to have no end, we are looking for strength to continue and I confess to you that it is difficult! A man who has not embezzled a single cent from the public coffers, has never disrespected the Constitution and is being treated worse than the most corrupt criminals in Brazil. I ask that you intercede for my father and not give up fighting for our freedom. Brazil needs to win and this persecution must end”he wrote.

Bolsonaro had already presented recent episodes of malaise. On February 20, Carlos reported that his father had a vomiting attack, without detailing whether medical attention was needed. Days earlier, on February 16, the former councilor stated that the former president had become ill and was being monitored.
