One suspect died and another, 19 years old, was arrested after a confrontation with military police during an attempted robbery of a pharmacy on Estrada do Campo Limpo, in the west of São Paulo, in the early hours of this Sunday (15).
According to the corporation, the team was initially called to respond to an incident at another pharmacyheight of number 4000. On the way to the location, the police identified a new robbery in progress in another establishment in the same chainheight of number 5900.
Inside the space, there was a hooded man approaching employees. The suspect noticed the presence of the agents and ran towards the side door. When faced with a police officer, a confrontation between them began.
The suspect was hit and died at the scene. Another man was located inside the pharmacy while trying to hide between the shelves. He was approached and arrested.
During the incident, police recovered R$1,204 in cash and a large valued at around R$ 30 mil. Employees reported that the suspects entered the establishment armed and carried out death threats case or money and products were not delivered. They also stated that the same men had already in the days January 31st and February 7th this year.
Two pistols were seized and the was recovered by police. The vehicle had a tampered license plate and had been stolen at the beginning of the year.
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP), the incident was registered in the 89th Police District as robbery, resistance, death resulting from police intervention, reception and tampering with a motor vehicle, which requested advice from the DHPP.
