Former presenter Pavel Bruchala, who in the past hosted the morning show of Markíza TV with Martina Šimkovičová, is among the loud critics of the Minister of Culture and her work. The head of the resort catches this from a significant part of the cultural community and from ordinary Slovaks, who are not satisfied with her steps. Bruchala never put a napkin in front of his mouth, and as he revealed to , his harsh statements did not leave Šimkovičová cold.
In the past, he called the former colleague “an anti-cultural monster that destroys even the little that somehow worked in this dysfunctional state.” “This is what the face of a bad, unhappy, affected, arrogant and incompetent person who is the minister of non-culture in our country looks like,” he did not spare her harsh words.
“You don’t have what it takes to be the minister of culture. Maťa, you do not have the professional prerequisites for this, nor the human and character. And I say it very calmly and politely. Because it’s my opinion. Art or culture is about emotions. You only spread negative emotions. You irritate, you are cynical, you are vindictive, you destroy lives. You want to define what is and what is not culture. These are terribly negative emotions,” said Bruchal earlier on Instagram.
To the surprise of many, it now turned out that the head of the department of culture contacted her former colleague and told him what she thought. „Feedback came to me. But I’ll keep her to myself. Coincidentally, we communicated a few days ago. But I won’t reveal what the communication was about. But yes, there was a reaction between me and Martina Šimkovičová,” Bruchala said eloquently.
