Service aimed at gamers will have accounts and cards deactivated; Customers must withdraw the balance by the end of the month
Itaú Unibanco will close the activities of , a digital account created by the bank for the gaming public. Accounts and credit cards linked to the platform will stop working on March 31st. The announcement was made on Player’s Bank social media in the last week of February. According to the bank, the service did not reach the expected adoption among online gaming enthusiasts.
Customers can normally move the amounts available in their accounts until the end of this month. The bank recommends transferring the balance via Pix or TED (Available Electronic Transfer) to another bank account. Another option is to use the money to pay bills directly through the app.
If any balance remains after the end of activities, the customer will not lose the amount. You will need to go to an Itaú branch or consult the Central Bank’s SVR (Receivable Values System), a platform that brings together forgotten resources in financial institutions.

Player’s Bank was launched in 2022 with the aim of bringing Itaú closer to the gaming universe. The service offered a digital account with automatic income and a credit card with no annual fee.
Among the benefits were cashback and discounts on the purchase of games, consoles, computers and peripherals. Customer service was provided via Discord, a communication platform widely used by players.
The closure of Player’s Bank occurs amid the process of simplifying Itaú’s digital portfolio. In February, the bank completed the One Itaú project, which integrated seven applications and around 15 million customers into a single application.
