The PF (Federal Police) arrested, this Tuesday morning (17), Cecília Rodrigues Mota, former president of Aapen (National Association of Retirees and Pensioners) and AAPB (Brazilian Association of Retirees and Pensioners).
The arrest occurred as part of the No Discount operation phase.
In total, 19 search and seizure warrants, two arrest warrants and other various precautionary measures were executed in the state of Ceará and the Federal District.
The warrants were authorized by Minister André Mendonça, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), and aim to clarify the practice of various crimes of inserting false data into official systems, setting up a criminal organization, social security fraud and acts of concealment and property dilapidation.
In addition to Cecília, the CNN found that deputy Maria Gorete Pereira (MDB-CE) is one of the targets of this Tuesday’s operation. She started using an electronic ankle bracelet.
