More than half of Brazilians have already decided who they will vote for in the 2026 presidential electionsaccording to research released by Genial/Quaest this Tuesday (17). THE study shows that 56% of respondents have already defined their candidatewhile 43% said they could still change their choice.
Furthermore, 67% of those who say they are voters of current president Lula (PT) would not change their vote until the date of the election. Those who chose Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and would not change either are 63%.

Os Respondents over 35 years old have a higher share of confirmation compared to candidates. The study shows that 59% of people in this age group say they have already decided on their candidate, while in between 16 and 34 years old this number drops to 47%.
In terms of gender, 62% of men say they would not change their candidate. Among women, the number drops to 49%, tied with those who say they can change their vote.
The survey was carried out between March 6th and 9th, with 2004 interviews with voters aged 16 and over. The margin of error is approximately 2 percentage points plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level. The study was registered and filed with the electoral court under number BR-05809/2026.
